Born into a creative family, Putu Aliki started out studying fine arts at PSSRD Universitas Udayana Denpasar. In 1997 she went on to further her studies at Harry Darsono Art and Design College in Jakarta. Post graduation Aliki worked for a garment company before deciding to start her own business. Music and her Balinese upbringing are her two strongest influences, inspiring and her designs as well as her general outlook on life. She designs for women who want to look unique and mysterious, not sexy. She summarizes her design philosophy as Gothic Romance. Aliki joined BPP APPMI Jakarta in 2003 and helped establish the association to Bali in 2004. Today she acts as the Vice Chairman of BPP APPMI Bali. She actively participates in local fashion events such as Fashion Tendance in Jakarta and Bali, Fashion Fashion & Food Festival in Bali, Bali in Fashion and Jakarta Fashion Week as well international events such as Bali Fashion Week, Hong Kong Fashion Week and World Boutique Hong Kong. In the last 5 years she has also been in the export business.
