Fashion Frenzy Ala Lennor

Shown for the second time in the arena od Jakarta Fashion Week 2010/2011, this time, designer Lenny Agustin held a collection under the brand LENNOR. Bringing up the Hullabaloo theme which means “bustle” or “frenziness” on the last November 10, 2010, Lenny admitted to be inspired by the busy, self-identity-seeker, world community.

Lenny tried to capture urban people’s anxiety who are seeking and figuring the root of their culture out, and learning its character. This certainly affects the way they dress and their appearance, creating an interesting cross-cultural expression.

Hullabaloo was combined by traditional Indonesian textiles with the work of skillful hands of craftsmen plus technology. Various types of traditional textiles blends in which is blended within this collection, starts from textiles made of batik to tenun (woven) technique. The diversity of motives was shown because she dis not confine herself from exploring only a certain area.  You could find Bugis’ tenun sarong, Borneo’s tenun, tenun than’s embroidered with beautiful golden threads, and various colorful batik motives.

The diversity of fabric pieces created by these craftsmen was transformed into a shurt, tube top combined with tenun textiles, a lightweight short-sleeved tops paired with A-silhouetted short skirts, shorts, mini dresses, to a pretty bolero embroided by golden threads on its edges. In the hands of a Lenny Agustin, ethnic nuance was harmoniously combined with some light, edgy cutting and styling. LENNOR reflects the young, modern, yet traditionally charactered urban people.
