APPMI Miscellaneous Designs

The 8th day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2013 was embarked by 6 APPMI designers: Afif Syakur, Anastasia, Lisa Reza, Mangala Iddhi Chandra, Oki Wong, and Wignyo Rahadi.
The “Chapter of Life” by Lisa Reza evinced casual apparel in a fancy feminine silhouette over white, green, and purple. Furthermore, Oki Wong presented a show entitled “Kado” beguilingly made the models look like real wedding princess. Different from other mainstream wedding gown, Oki’s designs put forward the use of skirt and pants yet still romantically depicted splendor.
The show then extended to Wignyo Rahadi collection with his geometrically lustrous designs made from woven fabric. The low-key silhouette juxtaposed with patchwork technique typified his sense of uniqueness in designs. Coming after that, Mangala Iddhi Chandra translated his idea through A-line dress put together with modernized kimono. He used cotton fabric, chiffon, and Jepara weaving over green to boldly kick the show off.
Ethnic style from Yogyakarta Afif Syakur was seen on the flowy and humble batik gown he created. Inspired by Samurai warriors from Japan, Anastasia then terminated the first APPMI show eventually with her ultimate designs portrayed in modern drapery technique she actualized.
