Submarine Seduction
The splendor of Indonesia oceanic life was a priceless treasure and hence came out as an infinite revelation for heaps of designers in Indonesia including Parang Kencana by Mariana Sutandi. A show entitled “Simbiosa” exhibited its collection on Jakarta Fashion Week 2013, Sunday November 5th at Fashion Loft Plaza Senayan.
Established on 1992, this label always honored protean of Batic collection as their main substantial asset. In this show, Parang Kencana divided their show in three sequences. First sequence opened with casual everyday use collection in chiffon and cotton Pekalongan Batik over vivid colors: blue, purple, and orange prettified with an astonished drawstring.
Feminine cocktail dress irresistibly adorned the second sequence of the show. Drapery details, one shoulder cut, and asymmetrical skirt colored with soft pastels fully dominated the collection. Fluorescent sequins added an extra touch of aesthetic in it.
Extraordinary night gown eventually came on the last sequence. The combination of blue and white gracefully represented the depths of the ocean in this collection. Lower back cut and halter neck accent prettified with beads en masse embellished the dress dominantly. Suffice to say that “Simbiosa” fully personified stately urban style with their wearable protean of traditional Batik Indonesia these days.
