The Glimmering Grazia Glitz & Glam

Grazia Glitz & Glam (3G) was a parade of celebrity fashion labels. This year, 3G came on Jakarta Fashion Week 2013 on Sunday 4 November 2012 collaborated with Marissa Nasution, Asmirandah, Dimas Beck, Iwet Ramadhan, and Luna Maya.

After successfully hypnotized a load of audiences two years ago with her shoes collection, this year Marissa Nasution impressively came with her new ready-to-wear fashion line, Dollhouse. Built upon her favorite cartoon figures, Jessica Rabit aka Minx, Marissa offered her collection with flirtatiously attractive, full of confidence, and glamour style. On the other hand, Asmirandah, with her friend Cinta, exhibited their collaboration in Spring/Summer 2013 collection under Manja label. Her ready-to-wear yet feminine collection was available at www.manjacloth.com. However, Dimas Beck, who last year collaborated with Melly Goeslaw, now cooperatively worked with young talented designer Faisal Shah. This duo introduced their designs in Rouge collection. The delightful 1920s Red Carpet delivered to their nine-plus-piece collection of vintage gowns.

Presenter Iwet Ramadhan, honored local tradition by carrying batik from his label, TikShirt, through Jakarta Fashion Week on 3G show. He presented traditional touch of 20s’ style dominated with sogan batik material and accompanied with 5Romeo performance in this show. TikShirt conjures the basic form of batik into a breath-snatching skirt and elegant dress which would give youthful impression.

Whereas Luna Maya through her label, Luna Maya (LM) for Hardware, no longer brought her common street wear and casual design but rather exponentially introduced her new premium design. The glamour and edgy “Art Nouveau” style she brought swathed with a blend of black, white, and gold throughout the collection. This Fall/Winter 2012 collection was dominated by neo-classic lines which perfectly fitted for the dynamic and exuberant women these days. In this show, Luna Maya also adorned the runway by bringing Ahmad Dhani, Mulan Jameela, Acha Septriasa, Hendy, Dara D’Virgin, and Chantal Della Conchetta. Besides fashion show, Grazia also bestowed special achievement for Indonesian celebs which consisted of 6 categories: Kimmy Jayanti crowned for Most Luminous Complexion, Raisa crowned for Most Impressive Hair, Marsha Timothy crowned for Most Leggy Person, Atiqah Hasiholan crowned for The Fashion Darling, Rio Dewanto crowned for The Stylister, Anang and Ashanty crowned for Most Happy Couple, and NOAH crowned for Hits Celebrity. The eclectic winners were not chosen only from votes but also from panels: Editor in Chief Grazia Indonesia Zornia Harisantoso, Joko Anwar, Alvin Adam, Fitri Tropika, and Daniel Mananta. And for Most Favorite Cover was won by Luna Maya based on readers’ choice on Grazia official website.
