The Merry Novelty of Alleira Batik

Duo Manda Rahardjo and Alleira Batik got things rolling on the runway by presenting “Decometry” collection which was inspired by butterfly metamorphosis on Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2013 Saturday 10 November 2012.

Batik pattern in dark pallets: black, maroon, and brown, graced the collection remarkably in the disparate styles of casual and low-key mullet dress, jumpsuit, asymmetrical dress, and peplum prettified with laser cut technique. Modern yet sexy touch was seen in this collection especially in the sheer attire. Balloon skirt, palazzo pants, and ruffles blouse of the collection also portrayed urban lifestyles these days.

Colorfully printed designs in purple, yellow, red, and blue by Manda appeared in the silk collection which essentially beautified with laser cut technique. This technique particularly alluring applied on the arm and shoulder part of gown, one shoulder top, and pencil skirt. A unique and fresh collaboration for fashion enthusiasts!
