The Next Big Thing

Consistently, Cleo Fashion Awards (CFA) delivered the young talented designers in fashion industry. For the 4th time, Cleo Fashion Awards (CFA) was held on November 12th in Jakarta Fashion Week (2013). This year Cleo Fashion Awards (CFA) bestowed two awards which are Most Innovative Local Brand and Most Promising Accessories Brand.
Identité, Oline Workrobe, Soep Shop, dan 8eri were the finalists of the Most Innovative Local Brand. Offering a theme “Get Set, Go”, Identité showed up the sporty feminine cutting in polyester, denim and wool. Oline Workrobe exposed their collection in constructive designs with neutral palettes. Oversized silhouettes in monochrome dominance as grey, black and white were flawlessly presented by Soep Shop in a theme of “Conviction”. The dynamics of feminine urban women was firmly embedded in a collection of 8eri by Eridani. With a theme “Urban Still Life” 8eri displayed its urban femininity pairing of cotton and silk. The crowned winner for Most Innovative Local Brand 2012 was Identité.
The Most Promising Accessories owned fréj, MOREANDMORE and SiKRA MAHTO as the three finalists. MOREANDMORE by Katherine Karsono exposed the accessories in “Modular Performance” theme. They fused acrylic materials with wood, stainless steel and titanium in gold and black dominance. The flora and fauna of Eastern Indonesia especially Maluku, inspired SiKRA MAHTO in the accessories collection themed “Cerita Timur”, with traditional fabrics and gemstones as the main materials. The brand-new idea of arranging pencils in firm geometric themed “Pencivilisation” brought fréj as the winner of the Most Promising Accessories CFA 2012.
CFA 2012 also awarded numerous labels of favorite readers and Editor of Cleo Indonesia. The Most Stylish Denim was given to Levi’s and GAP, The Sexiest Shoes category was given to Charles & Keith and Pedder Red and The Trendiest Daily category for Body & Soul and Tommy Hilfiger. Moreover, Warehouse and Karen Millen were awarded for The Most Alluring Evening Wear category, Coach and Balenciaga for The Hippest Sunglasses category, Guess and Swatch for The Hippest Sunglasses, The ‘IT’ Watches category, Guess and Furla for The Most Covetable Bags category and Mango Touch and Love Diva for The Most Favorite Accessories category.
