Colorful Knitwear

The Body Shop was back to collaborate with Lenny Agustin to participate in the Jakarta Fashion Week 2014.

As usual, the appearance of Agustin’s collection always made the Indonesian fashion scene cheerful through its typical bright colors. 

Bringing up the theme Knit My Day, Agustin’s collection was quite special. Hand-knitted by craftswomen from Padang, Bali, and Jakarta, Agustin’s dazzling collection, which consisted of 40 sets, took 1-3 months in the making. The dyeing process also used natural dyes that required a special technique, done repeatedly. 

No wonder that her knitwear collection with a color palette of purple, pink, yellow, orange, and red managed to light up the stage of fashion tent on the sixth day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2014. Being consistent with the style that was far from being simple, the contrasting colors of stockings and socks combination gave a more festive impression to her design. The runway stage was also livened up by the coquettish walk of models who put on beautiful blouses, skirts, and mini dresses.
