Indonesian Designers Showed Their Brands Identity

Jakarta Fashion Week 2014, as the leading fashion week in Indonesia, held back the Buyers’ Room programme to promote Indonesian designers’ works to the international market. Working closely with the Ministry of Commerce, the Buyers’ Room programme was held on 17-19 October 2013 at the 8th floor of The Hall, Senayan City, and was exclusively opened for buyers. Through the Buyers’ Room programme, designers had the chance to show their identity and best brands as well as directly interacted with the global fashion industries. A total of 40 designers’ labels were chosen by the JFW curation team and amongst them are Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) programme participants.

On 18 October, 2013, at the Buyers’ Room arena, JFW presented trunk show which showcased the works of Monday to Sunday, N.F.R.T, Milcah, Novita Yunus, 8eri, and Vinora labels. Here, each designer showed their trademark and identity. Stripes and polka dot motifs embellish the presented Monday to Sunday’s collection. N.F.R.T added a touch of bright colors like green, purple, and blue to a collection of simple cutting outfits. Then Milcah presented feminine outfits which give a sexy and elegant impression. Novita Yunus showcased a set of tops and bottoms and dresses with a touch of tenun and combined her featured outfit with a rattan-detailed bag. Beige, black, and gray colors looked dominant in 8eri’s collection. Women were tend to choose white and black as their working outfits, but Vinora brought up a different concept for men and women to still look professional and stylish.(NF)
