The Luxury of Syar’I Fashion Show

The show, held on the last day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2014, was back to present a collection of Muslim wear that enlivened the atmosphere of the fashion tent at Senayan City. Three designers showed their creativity and expertise. They were Nabilla Ayumi with her brand Shabilla, Fitri Aulia, and Norma Moi. They brought up different themes under one big frame, Syar’I Stylish.
Appeared in the first sequence, a dashing collection “Hauri Collezione” by Norma Moi combined gray with black. Consisting of skirts and flared pants, the collection featured work to party attire. Moi showcased her best work through a long dress paired with a long coat.
Ayumi appeared with a dazzling collection themed “Voyages de L’amour” describing a love journey. Glamour and luxury impressions were strongly perceived through a curve-hugging fabric that was put on by the models. In her collection, Ayumi also revealed a number of gorgeous and syar’I wedding gowns. The use of sequins, embroidery, and pleated detail made the collection feminine.
In the last sequence, Aulia displayed her latest collection with the theme “Glorious Moons”. The Middle East nuance was the main inspiration for her. Therefore, the collection was dominated by dark blue, brown, and gold. The use of gold thread and colored stones matched with the fabric, adding the elegance to her collection.
In showcasing their collections, the three designers had one same vision, presenting stylish, yet syar’I outfits. It is hoped that people who wore Muslim wear could still appear stylish on various occasions, either when working, hanging out, partying, or wearing a wedding gown on a special day.
