Frederick Lee

Designer Profile

Emerging as a self-taught visionary, Frederick Lee has defined Singapore couture with his theatrical yet deeply personal approach to design. Since founding his label in 1998, he has woven together elements of Asian heritage, myth, and opera into garments of sculptural drama and opulent detail. His signature lies in lush embellishments—beading, feathers, and crystal accents—that frame silhouettes like wearable storytelling. Lee draws inspiration from cultural symbolism, Chinese opera masks, and his own emotional narratives, creating pieces that resonate as much in craftsmanship as in character.

Over his decades-long career, he has designed not only for private couture clients but also for major national events, underlining his belief that couture is as much performance as fashion.
