Batik Innovation from Suzuki Takayuki and Bateeq
Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) once again collaborated with Amazon Tokyo Fashion Week — Japan Fashion Week Organisation, presented a collection: Suzuki Takayuki with local label, Bateeq at JFW 2017 (27/10). This collaboration has come to its fourth year.
In this cooperation, both designers were given freedom to explore and to design batik motives from PT and Liris’ collection, a sister company of Bateeq. With “Shadow” as a concept, this time Takayuki and Bateeq depicted the beauty of shadows and lights in 36 looks.
Colors such as white, blue and black again prevailed in loose and relax design with simple, light and casual material. Despite of the presence of some of the dresses and culottes, Takayuki also descended with a number of wedding dresses.
