Elegant Summer from India
Bharata Landa always gives a beautiful tell tale. This time, a collaboration between Jakarta Fashion Wekk and Embassy of India presented a glamorous collection from label, Amrich—an amalgamation of two Indian designers, Amit Vijaya and Richard Pandav.
On the night of the second day of Jakarta Fashion in Senayan City Jakarta, Amrich unfolded Spring/Summer 2017 collections. Most of women clothing were designed in loose-fitting style, with very bold ethnicity in patterns, cuttings, and motives: from outerwear, skirt, pants and maxi dress. The dominant colors were mostly natural, such as gray, black, and few bright colors in shocking red pallet and crisp orange.
Amrich is label that advocated sustainable fashion consistently. In accordance to this concept, Amrich demonstrated that the exertion of natural sources and involving local artist could assemble elegant collections.
Both designers behind Amrich are famous for its elegant woven dress; echo vulnerability, power, tenderness, and cheerfulness. Their interest towards textile and design lead them to obtain Apex Award for Best Student Designer of the Year from Clothing Manufactures Association of India (CMAI) 2007-2008.
