Simplicity of Summer

 
This year, the young designer incubation program–the outcome of collaboration between Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW), Economic Creative National Agency, and British Council–embarked along with Paulina Katarina, Rani Hatta, Yelly. These three brands represented The Fifth Generation of IFF at JFW 2017.

The collection of all-white-play suite designed by Paulina Katarina opened the afternoon IFF show on October, 22nd 2017. The premium resort wear brand that masterminded by the sibling Surya Paulina and Ratna Katarina, unveiled 16 ready-to-wear-day-and-and-night collection.

Amalfi Dreams was the significant theme for Spring/ Summer Collection’s Paulina Katarine, Wanderlust. Calm white and light blue are dominant color in her collection, in flowy jumpsuit, one shoulder, and frill dress. 

All the-white collection was back on stage for their second parade. Yelly appeared with Double Take theme as its main focus of Spring/Summer 2017 Collection. A classic white suit unlocked the show, then followed by vest, t-shirt, simple dress, outer in monotonous black-white in all its 13 designs. They have simple cut, yet full of details from an open back of LBD, cut-out tailoring detail, to hand-sewn puzzle pattern with laser cut technology.

This first show of IFF at JFW 2017 was concluded with a sequence of Rani Hatta’s collection. The well-known designer for her sporty minimalist signature paraded in show called Youth for Spring/Summer 2017. Inspired by the rebellious high school student, this collection was surprisingly contained the existence of eyelet rings or iron hole on sweater and pleat leather skirt. Other shocking details were the high cowl neck sweater, long coat with giant iron ring with neoprene, scuba and synthetic leather.
