Grazia Glitz & Glam: When Music Meets Fashion
Grazia magazine took part to celebrate Jakarta Fashion Week 2018 for sixth times with its Grazia Glitz & Glam event, Sunday, October 22, 2017. The magazine, that caters celebrity lifestyle, puts fashion and musik on focus for self expression, also a sign of what is to be trend in following year.
The five favorite labels that Grazia endorsed, namely Luna Maya, Rinda Salmun, Kle, Purana, and Cotton Ink, collaborated with Avani to present "Divas in Music" fashion collection. According Luna Maya, at press conference, "Fashion and music are two sustainable things." Indeed, both are tools to express our innerselves.
Also in that evening, Grazia Glitz & Glam presented 12 clothings made of bio-plastic as its campaign support to caring of society and enviroment. Grazia welcomes 2018 fashion trend with eco-friendly concept, that is using bio-plastic from indutrial grade cassava starch and other natural materials. The concept starts out of the fact that millions tons of plastic would destroy our habitat, especially the sea.
The fashion show naturally relies on makeup. All models, appeared on the Fashion Tent show, wore makeup by Make Over, a professional brand that supports fashion industry. It is obviously seen in Purana collection by Nonita Respati. Nonita was so inspired by Gwen Stefani’s look, the striking red lips that brings out confidence and a self expression all at once. The makeup suited well with the outerwear collection that is very stylish in bright colours.
Other songstress, Beyonce, impresses Luna Maya dearly. It appeared in her clothings line. Accompanied the diva’s songs, Luna Maya and Hartono Gan presented a daring, seductive, and alluring collection. What a magnet that was warmly welcomed by the audiences.
Next is the other goddess of music, Madonna. Her pop couture touches in every piece of Rinda Salmun fashion collection. Electrical and playful style imprints on her suede, brocade, and sinthetyc leathers materials, bringing pop fantasy to life. To support such lifestyle, edgy accessories of House of Jealouxy and footwear of Mader counted in.
