Inovation and Colaboration in Indonesia Fashion Forward 2018

Jakarta Fashion Week is famous for its innovation in initiating various programs, one of which is Indonesia Fashion Forward. B.Y.O, PVRA, and Reves Studio, the designers of Indonesian Fashion Forward girlish designs, showcase their work in the celebration of a decade of Jakarta Fashion Week. Consistently delivering innovative latest works, these designers present a collection that is predicted to be the trend of next year.

Persistent to make Indonesia's fashion industry enter the international fashion market and make industry players see the opportunities as well as perform effective and efficient business strategy, Indonesia Fashion Forward displays three flagship labels in a performance consisting of three parts.

The first collection that took the stage was PVRA with "Woman Warrior" as its theme. The designs of footwear, varying from casual sandals to high heels for formal events. Woman Warrior is still thick with signature style of the label made by Kara Nugroho and Princess Katianda, namely 3-dimensional handmade pieces combined with pastel, bright and metallic tones. Next, a collection from Rèves Studio featuring a wide range of fabrics from cotton, lace, and Sycamore wool for Spring / Summer 2018 collection. The collection was inspired by the bright green of plants to the rays and warmth of the sun. The lines of the design are classic, graceful, and intelligent, reinforcing the look of each piece without losing its feminine impression. The Karina Widjaja and Karina Pricilla's label highlights the balance between detail and simplicity for this collection. The latest row of styles is expected to increase the confidence of the wearer with the unique color palette, which is a combination of green, beige, black, and white that represents modern femininity.

BYO presents innovative and up-to-date displays through its design collections. Latest collection, consisting of handbags, clutches, and tops, are made of plastic, latex, and for the first time ever, leather. The inspiration came from filtering out futuristic aesthetics that remains relevant for the moment. For his 2018 Summer / Summer collection, Tommy Ambiyo Tedji, the creative brain behind BYO, was inspired by a total solar eclipse. Reviving the rare phenomenon, this brand-new collection also amazes Los Angeles Fashion Week 2018 which took place before the Jakarta Fashion Week 2018.
