The Charming Works of LaSalle’s Students at Jakarta Fashion Week 2018

"Prelude"  is the title of increadibly charming collection by talented young fashion students of LaSalle College. Some creations in the collection are thesis projects. The nine designers are Edita Aurellia (Winter Wonderland), Mayendra Pebri Dita Purba (Everything Has Beauty In It), Rashesa Putri Sabrina (New-Life), Regina Hema Shena (Senja), Devi Indriani Lesmana (Florences of Dandelion), Tee (Revenir A Soi), Tiesva (Black Outside, Gold Inside), Putri Nugreni Jelita (Northen Kaleidoscope), and Selphie Usagi  (A dress to Vow). Although they are young and still in school, their works are competitive enough to fight in real market.
 
With “Prelude”, the designers tried to bring out traditional values combined with new approach. If a fashion collection were a music composition, metaphorically, the students’ works are the beginning of a much more complex new composition. Forget not that, like a composer, every designer has its own interpretation. Here, on the audience row, we could only catch their charming “simphony”.
 
For instance, Winter Wonderland showed 5 sets of clothing in white domination. The collection was inspired by the white of snow and stalactite interpreted in eye-catchy beads and pom-pom. The designer, Edita Aurellia, is the winner of Excellent Award at 25^th Hempel Award China International Young Fashion Designer Contest at Mercedes-Benz China Fashion Week.
 
At the end of the show, the charmed audiences gave a long applause welcoming the nine LaSalle College designers. It’s obvious that the prominent fashion school commits to keep on giving birth to talented designers and promoting their works to the world.
