Young Creator Indonesia Fashion Institute Supports Fashion Industry Progress
Jakarta, October 23, 2017. Young Creator Indonesia Fashion Institute (YCIFI) is a fashion institution that nurtures, supports, and promotes Indonesia fashion talents to global market with fashion business course and sorts. At Jakarta Fashion Week 2018, YCIFI, sponsored by Kofide and GKL Foundation, put the talents on the spotlight.
Helmed by Deden Siswanto – a designer who consistently works with traditional fabrics, marking his name in multicultural clothing – as YCIFI coordinator, Auguste Soesastro (YCIFI mentor), and Kahfiati Kahdar (Director of YCIFI), the fashion institute showed its collection at Senayan City, Monday afternoon. YCIFI gave the collection name "Contagious", expecting the trend they brought on the show spread among the fashion enthusiasts in local and global market.
The show was opened by two YCIFI young designers, Kahfiati Kahdar and Auguste Soesastro. Kahfiati presented clothing line dominated in white colour that turned out giving unique and innovative impressions. The models walked on the runway wearing see-through pieces with strikingly beautiful collar accessories. The accessories came in variety, from eye-catching knitting to heart-throbbing knotting.
The collection was inspired of Baju Bodo (Bodo dress) from Bugis, that is transformed to be casually wearable. In addition, the nude tones makeup served the collection well and was even more meaningful. Earth tones, such as variety of brown, added natural beauty.
