This event presents four speakers, namely Irna Mutiara (Muslim wear designer, who’s also the chairman and co-founder of Hijabers Mom Community), Pramaditya Tasmaya (CEO Muslimarket), Delly Arnaz (Area Manager Bank Muamalat), and Juniar Mahameru (Head of Business Card BNI Syariah) , They discussed the importance of hijab fashion in the globalization of the fashion industry.
As a designer, Irna explained that the essence of hijab fashion is not just cover, but also the value of symbols to be taken into account. In the country’s fashion industry in the country, hijab fashion is predicted to be increasingly more prominent due to the growing Muslim population. Therefore, the needs of hijab fashion among Muslim women will also increase. According to Irna, this does not only happen in Indonesia, but also many other countries with a striving Muslim women community.
This statement is justified by Pramaditya, CEO Muslimarket. Hijab fashion is increasingly ogled and intensively analyzed in the fashion industry, with many designers that keeps appearing, selling hijab products online and offline. He also explained that the sale of products is now in a more oriented market via internet and online shopping. However, not all Indonesian people can access the Internet because of differences in the region, for example, eastern Indonesia, even though internet greatly facilitates customers with online transactions in buying any product.
Seeing the rapid growth of hijab fashion, Delly Arnaz and Juniar Mahameru explained that sharia banks such as Bank BNI Syariah and Bank Muamalat is now offering assistance in the form of credits to the hijab fashion entrepreneurs to build their businesses. On this occasion, the four speakers wished hijab fashion will continue to exist and survive in the face of globalization challenges in the whole fashion industry.
