Sharing the Stage with British Designer

The stage of Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 became the media that merge western and eastern culture, through the fashion show of Rinda Salmun and Ed Marler in collaboration with British Council, Bridge Fashion Asia, and Jakarta Fashion Week. The sense of liberty and courage is what helps the designer achieve the uniqueness of each collection.

Rinda Salmun, a young designer that begins her carrier in the United Kingdom on 2009 presenting an eccentric collection. Other than the dominant color black the collection also features pastel colors; enlighten the illustration on the pieces. Two contrast elements combine with a delicate technique making it look extraordinaire. Under the same name of RindaSalmun, her collection was also used by a singer, Jamelia, one of the contestant of The X factor UK, and was featured in a photo shoot for a local magazine.

A young designer from Great Britain, Ed Marler; is known for the uniqueness and bold design  of his collection, mix matching materials, texture and color. The 'messy' and laid back look of Ed's design, adds another unique point of style towards his characteristic. Ed also works for not only women’s wear but also for menswear.
