The Graceful Aristocratic Nuances

Inspired by Aristocratic fashion in the past, three Islamic fashion designers presenting a parade called Reina De Belleza in Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 on October 30, 2015. Reina De Belleza was taken from Spanish language, which means the beauty of Aristocratic. That meaning was interpreted by Qonita Gholib, Rya Baraba, and Lia Soraya through the elegant and glamour moderstwear, but it still conform to the Islamic shari'a.

All the three designers took a reference from across several millennia, from the BC time until 1920s and 1940s. Qonita Gholib created Pekalongan batik into a modestwear inspired by the character of Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby movie. While Lia Soraya translating an intellectual aristocratic woman through a bold line in her luxury design. Lia Soraya used many black, white, and gold colors in her collection.

If the previous two designers were inspired by the figure of aristocratic woman, it was different with Rya Baraba. He presenting dynamic modestwear designs by matching colors which inspired by the sky effects that is contaminated with the result of the war. Dark clouds represented with light gray and dark gray colors, fire sparks represented with mustard and orange colors, and light blue colors that describes peace.
