Also featuring summer dresses with Greek-inspired prints that brings elegant ambiance, they are light and perfect for a day out on an island. Gold earrings and sunglasses completed the collection with flourish. The whole resort style collection is a must-have for the upcoming holiday season.
Next, Rani Hatta took the stage and launched her S/S 19 collection called "Rangers". This collection was inspired by the infamous TV program in the 90’s, Power Rangers. With a nostalgic feeling, the collection was built by easy and breathable, yet well-tailored, clothes. "Rangers" was dominated by bold and vibrant neon colours, with varying pieces ranging from power suits to training sets that will capture your heart.
The edgy boots and sunglasses gave extra heroic coolness to the entire collection. Twisting it with sporty cut and minimalistic modern silhouette, the collection can be dubbed as the leading street-wear casual look for modest fashion in Indonesia.
After that, Day and Night closed the show with "I See You See Me" collection. This collection was described as two sides of something, like grown up who still has a childish side hidden. Her S/S 19 collection used a monochromatic palette and was inspired by child’s fashion during 5th-15th century. The theme was portrayed beautifully with long coats, crocheted fabrics, and playful off-shoulder tops. "Peek-a-Boo" and puffed volume are key details in this collection to interpret its title, “I See You See Me”.
The three designers with differing aesthetic were regarded as the embodiment of the many different styles of Indonesian consumers with varied styles and needs. Style Theory enabled audience to see and rent several pieces that were shown on the runway, straight after the show. This was a form of high quality fashion for everyone, giving the ultimate form of fashion freedom to Indonesia’s fashion enthusiasts. (ELV/ZGY)
