Anne Avantie Proving Love to Semarang

Semarang has a special place in Anne Avantie’s heart because the city has took part in Anne Avantie’s journey in the fashion world. As we can see at Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 stage, Tuesday, October 27, 2015, Anne proves her love to Semarang through the show titled "Xylophone Semarang".
 
The diversity of Arabian, Javanese, Chinese and Dutch ethnics is growing fast in Semarang, it gave an inspiration for Anne Avantie in designing her collection this time. A series of Peranakan Kebaya looks harmonious, generating its color for the development of Indonesia's national dress without leaving the nation's cultural roots.
 

The fashion show opened with the silhouette of Kebaya Kartini with its traditional grip, then morphed into an artistic contemporary Kebaya. The variety of Kebaya collection with a long shape appears gracefully followed the body curves. Anne Avantie has combining lace with tulle transparent material paired with handmade batik. As an ornament, a sprinkling of sequins and embroidery looked so luxurious adorning the entire collection. Anne Avantie also creating batik into robes and luxury fluffy skirts.
 
And at the end of the show, a series of long dress sweeping the floor with red and black color palettes represented the transformation of modern Kebaya. The fusion of many elements looks contrast on the stage.
 
The most entertaining part of her show was, when the show enlivened by the performance  of celebrities, such as Indy Barends, Ipank, Julia Perez, Saskia Gothic, and Ayu Ting Ting, accompanied with the chant of old music by Benjamin Sueb.
