Batik In The Eyes Of Danar Hadi And Chossy Latu

Thursday afternoon, October 29, 2015, Fashion Tent Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 is filled with visitors dressed in shades of red. This color is the clear representative of the Indonesian Heart Foundation (Yayasan Jantung Indonesia) who were presenting Danar Hadi and Chossy Latu in accollaboration show titled Solometrik (Metropolitan Solo Batik) at the Jakarta Fashion Week runway.
 
Greeted with the melodious voice of Daniel Christanto, the batik-centered show is oofficially opened. As the second song starts, designer muses one by one starts to strut around the runway, wearing Chossy Latu for Danar Hadi line.  Uniquely, they’re not waltzing alone – all muses walked together with their children and grandchildren respectively.
 

The event continued with models showing off off batiks in white and shades of blue that gives holiday feels. The acculturation between Eastern and Western cultures are so pronounced with the presence of modern cuts and batik cap fabrics, coplete with Parisian style wide brim hats in red and yellow. At the end of the sequence, batik dresses are enhanced with monochromatic fringe details, feather and sequin equipped with magnificent headdresses.
 
The fashion show also sees the appearance of 5 handsome celebrities, Mario Lawalata, Anjasmara, Atalarik Shah, Chico Jericho, and Rio Dewanto, looking charming and dapper in ppear charming with monochrome-themed batik.
