Colour Euphoria from Wardah to Indonesian Women

Wardah has been a quite long collaborator in Jakarta Fashion Week. In fact, three local designers graduated from Indonesia Fashion Forward got a nod to be the label ambassadors. They are Barli Asmara, Dian Pelangi, and Ria Miranda. On the tenth year of Jakarta Fashion Week, Wardah transforms the trio to a quaret by inviting a newcomer in fashion designing, and, more popular, an actress, Zaskia Sungkar.

Introducing the string of bolder colour palettes, Wardah’s "Color Euphoria" theme is to bind the gifted designers ideas. The idea was intrepreted into colours and sillhouete exploring, showing lines of wonderful and eye cathing pieces.

Ria Miranda showed her bolder collection, with metallic accent, and, as her signature, used soft palettes. The silhoutte looked clean and comforted the beholders.

Meanwhile, Barli Asmara chose a variety of white and beige colours with a little touch of gold for his collection. His radical approach highlights the structures, looking more layered and deconstructive. In a very stylish way.

On the other hand, the young designer Dian Pelangi kept her cheerful spirits in colouring game, sticking to her uniqueness. Geometrical motifs are layered harmoniously with various embellishments and songket fabrics.

Apart from her seniors, Zaskia Sungkar picked the clean and lean urban casual style, accentuated with pink colour on monochromes palettes. Simple and practical, Zaskia’s collection is young urban oriented.

Undoubtedly, Wardah’s show, in general, was so comforting to watch. But not only that, the makeup label brought in Afgan, a singer whose vocal brings calmness and joy to the audiences. Afgan belted out his most popular sing-along tunes and, succesfully, made us sang along.
