Indonesia Fashion Forward
Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) is a collaborative project between Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW), The Creative Economy Agency, The British Council, and National Craft Council of City of Jakarta. This curative and intensive program serves as a capacity-building program with a vision to groom a select group of designers to become regional, even international players by providing them with the right business teachings and branding strategy.
The program was initiated in 2012. We hope to help nurture these talents creatively and professionally as an asset of Indonesia. This crop of new, up and coming designers reflect not only Indonesia’s vibrant and distinct culture but also the country’s burgeoning creative industry that is poised to expand exponentially in the near future. Hopefully what these young designers have to offer will intrigue the international market to further explore Indonesian products.
