Mango Show: Feminine + Masculine

Androgyny style always has place in fashionista’s hearts. Mango, a fashion brand from Spain, translated the style into “Masculine Rock”. Mango, which one of the outlets located at Senayan City, held a fashion show and enlivened the atmosphere of the fifth day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2014 on Wednesday, October 23, 2013.

The first sequence showcased a casual collection dominated by red. A bright red biker jacket looked stunning combined with a cool boyfriend t-shirt and black leather pants. The look was so fierce until some people said, “You can actually stop the traffic with this outfit.”

For those who wanted a more daring look, Mango presented a tartan skinny pants combined with a black biker jacket. Just using one particular dominant color, Mango had successfully attracted undivided attention of the audience. Jeans, which symbolized rebellion, appeared more rebellious in a form of a mini jeans skirt that was mixed-and-matched with fish net stockings giving a sexy, yet masculine impression.

The second sequence featured a more formal collection, but still looked edgy. Dark colors, like black and dark blue, appeared dominant in the collection. A layer-accented dark blue blouse with straight white pants produced a professional look. Captivating long-sleeve dresses was also showcased. Meanwhile, a collection of skinny pants with striped blazers gave a formal impression.
