Matahari department store showcases their newest collection based on the daily wear at the Jakarta Fashion Week 2016. With the tittled collection "Enchanted Forest" that branched into three parts. Taking fashion lovers to enjoy the concept of the beautiful morning, bright afternoon and a calming evening
In the first segment of the show, the biggest department store in Indonesia introduce the collection "Dewy White" that had its inspiration taken from the fine morning of the forest. The influence of nature took a big part in forming the 12 look collection. Light and floaty fabric such as chiffon and tuille, were applied to tops, skirt, dresses, and outer wear. With some applicants from lace and organdi; enlighten the look a bit more. And when it couldn't get anymore interesting, the show was brought my models that werent wearing any shoes, walking bare footed on the catwalk. This enhance the humble image Matahari Department Store is trying to pursue. Accessories in form of leaves and branches completes the first segment of collection
The next theme was tittled "Bold Tribes". Inspired by the bright sunshine on a joyful afternoon, comes a collection with colors like orange, red, yellow and a dash of green. Combine the bright color and tribal prints, creating an outstanding pieces of long dresses, pants, skirt and tops. Added a head turban-like accessories to enhance the look. Material use like silk, crepe, cotton and organdi tuille merge perfectly to the forest feel.
All the combination of the beautiful colors in nature finalize in a collection that goes by " Mother Earth ". Bringing out more earthy colors such as olive green and camel with the right fabric work with rayon, fur, suede, chiffon crepe, silk and organic cotton. This 12 look collection featuring palazzo pants and fur vest adds another interesting detail; fringes. Taking the 'safari look' with a dress and long pants under an outer wear or long vest; the look easily becomes the highlight of the show.
