Mini Show APPMI: Femininity Disclosure

APPMI returned to perform their second show at Fashion Loft, Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2013 on November 11th. This time APPMI brought Hartono Gan, Agnes Budhisurya, Misan, and Grace Fenny’s feminine designs to the runway.
Contemporary low-key cocktail attire from Medan origin designer, Hartono Gan, was much exposure to the show. His collection,”The Dress I Live In” was inspired by the increasingly widespread fashion bloggers nowadays. In his humble opinion, fashion was not all about ‘what to wear’ but more to ‘how to wear it’. That was seen on the disparate styles he made, start from the high volume one to the flowy sheer chiffon and tulle collection over monochromatic color domination: yellow, lime green, and fuchsia.
The “Metamorphosa” from Agnes Budhisurya highlighted the paint technique he contrived over sheer silk which was inspired by a complete change of butterfly. A jumble of sheer kaftan collection was perfectly divine in the gradation of natural shade color.
Bandung designer, Misan, ardently explored his collection on JFW 2013 entitled, “Butterfly Effect” in complex details of abstract cocktail dress. By dint of laser cut technique he developed, Misan’s collection remarkably brought off an absolute layer details which represented a playful butterfly frolicking in the garden.
“Lay’cious” by Grace Fenny concluded the show ultimately with her cocktail collection perfectly charmed in soft color play of pink, gold, and blue. A touch of feminine style of her eminently stated on layering technique in lace, sequins detail, and also ribbon and flower pinned on her collection. Obviously nailed the show!
