Modern Moslem Wear Parade

APPMI also presented Moslem wear collections as the works of 7 designers in a show Moslem Parade at the Fashion Tent of Jakarta Fashion Week 2014 on October 22, 2013. Najua Yanti brought up the theme “Aphrodite” showcasing clothes in Mediterranean colors that were combined with an application of a labyrinth motif. Meanwhile, Merry Pramono featured outfits in white and soft pastel.
Lia Afif chose the theme “Cymaversa Queen” that was inspired by the beauty of ancient Egyptian architecture and Nefertiti Queen, who was the icon of beauty at that time. In the meantime, Afif revealed Moslem wear accentuating the vibrant-colored Balinese weaving. Hanie Hananto came up with the theme “Saga City” and used black and white to get a clean and modern look.
Tuty Adib created a collection titled “Romantic Freeze” that was inspired by the fall and romantic chill. Soft dresses made of silk, linen, and batik were dominated by gray, red, white, and black, giving a romantic impression. Hennie Noer’s collection was another impressive thing. She promoted the beauty of Marrakech in her design.
Lastly, Fenny Mustafa flaunted a collection themed “Queen of Scarf” under her label Zoya. The collection revolved around scarf twists that made the Moslem wear elegant.
