The Existence of Muslim Women in Magical City

A very artistic coffee shop in Dubai was the main inspiration of Magical City, by Lutfiah Ibrahim (Luthy). Under the flag of LUSENSE, Luthy collaborated with Krisdayanti, invented “LUSENSE KD” and unveiled it on the second day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2017.

“Magical City” embarked with long pants, long dress, and hijab that had designed according to Muslim protocols. Lutfiah and Krisdayanti exerted printing techniques on stripy pattern, flower pattern, abstract, and face silhouette, and urban construction. Bright colors, for instance red orange, yellow, and blue, were prevailing in the collections. With “Magical City”, LUSENSE KD emphasized the existence of Muslim women: courteous, elegant, contemporary, joyful, and attractive.

LUSENSE KD also showed men’s attire in shirt and long/ short sleeve kurta in bright colors. LUSENSE KD evaded black and dark colors that usually monopolize men clothes.

Hans Virgoro enhanced the Islamic clothing with rings and diamond white gold earring.   LUSENSE KD and Hans Virgoro presented a concept with a ready-to-wear clothing and jewelry as final addition.
