The Imagination National Culture

Esmod Jakarta featuring Pseudo Alumni Designers Collection in Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 at Senayan City, Monday, October 26, 2015. The designers are the alumni of Esmod Jakarta, realizing their imagination through traditional clothing collection which inspired by national culture.
 
Nusaibah Jazuli comes with Nusaibah brand, appears first with the theme "Kanekes", the other term for Baduy tribe. She presented a symbol of humility 'urang Kanekes' through white shades, gray and brown colored dresses. Another presentation presented is consists of clean cut shirts, loose-cut trousers, vests, and long wide skirts. Some pleated and faux fabric enriches her designs.
 
Monochrome colors also displayed in SM Idbariza designed by Mayang Idbariza. Brings the theme "Essential Roots", her collection appears in sequin details with its unique and abstract roots shaped. Short pants with a tail on the back, straight-cut midi dress, and cullouts comes in black and white colors, with a touch of small blue patterns. Roots-shaped with sequin embellishments also appears as headpieces and body wrapped necklace.
 

The next show, Drey collection by Audrey Chaerunnisa appears with theme "Unknown". Her displayed clothing is inspired by the Asmat tribe. Dominated with black and white, straight cut dresses, jackets, coats, and culottes, performed with a sporty look. Her fabrics used are quite creative, with its detailed laser cut, as well as mesh fabrics, enhancing the sporty contemporary image.
 
Siti Mahmudah with her collection, Meirietha features brighter colors such as red, orange, and blue. Endek fabrics from Bali become the major fabrics at her show themed “The Luxury of Ikat”. The geometric and asymmetrical cut eliminates a traditional and formal image of her collection. Dresses, short skirts, straight-cut trousers and vests even appears in a more feminine look, as tstyled with organdy, embroidery, and a touch of rock and crystal ornaments.
 
Esmod show closed with a collection of Savlavin by Savira Lavinia. Her designs and patterns displayed was inspired by the Borneo tattoo. Genuine leather materials, embroidery, crepe satin and silk satin materials resulting crop top, straight-cut midi skirt, and loose-cut pants adding more luxurious look. Although her designs is dominated by monochromatic colors, a touch of red and dark blue has sweetened her collections, give a futuristic look. Each of the collections has its own story.
