The Power of Lombok’s Weaving

On day three of Jakarta Fashion Week 2013, November 5th, Binus International Jakarta students presented their ultimate magnificent works. With Hyper culture as a theme, Binus talented students collaborated with 2 graduated designers of Northumbria University London explored Lombok weaving into sumptuous modern attire.

 Satin and Chiffon incorporated with ethnic touch and dashing Lombok weaving showed the jolt of traditional-modern glamour collection.

Pastel nuance and bold colors in woven fabric dominated in their hypnotizing designs. The ingenious Binus International students and 2 graduated designers of Northumbria University London employed pleat and crease techniques with dynamic asymmetric silhouettes. The irresistible designs of formal and informal, playful and elegant styles in Lombok weaving evoked round of applause in the fashion tent in Plaza Senayan Jakarta.
