Time Traveler by Obin

Collaborating with Pesona Magazine, a legendary designer of Indonesian traditional textile, Obin, dazzled the chic attendees of Jakarta Fashion Week 2013 day six. Obin presented the exquisite designs in Fashion Loft, 5th floor of Plaza Senayan Jakarta. In press conference after the show, she calmly responded loads of questions related to her concept designs.

“Basically, my inspiration came through the women and the fabrics. The ‘Time Traveler’ show embraced the development of my works in 40 years,” said Obin about her outstanding works.
The vibrant red ensemble embarked the first sequence of remarkable show. The various cutting technique and patterns translated as numerous plush apparel. One of them is a magnificent tube top like the breathtaking rose petals. 

In second sequence, the collection in radiant color flourished the runway. In stylish kebaya encim paired with harem pants the model paraded lively.

For the third sequence, the elegant batik in luminous color embellished the third sequence of the show. For the culmination, Obin house, for the first time, exhibited the simple yet elegant wedding attire. In the end of the show, the models in wedding dress carried artificial guns with ‘Shot Gun wedding’ by Rod Stewart as the back sound won the loudest burst of audience applause. With her excellent designs Obin is always meritorious in exploring Indonesian heritage.
