Urban Color Contempo

For the first time on Jakarta Fashion Week, Contempo debuted its collection on the 4th of November 2012 at Fashion Atrium, Plaza Senayan. Its four-section-Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 collection, ‘Colorful Jewels’, unveiled the sheen of colorful diamonds that would perfectly fit on New Year’s Eve celebration.

The “Dressing Everyone” tagline seemingly directed their designs as it’s seen on this runway. The easy-mix and match-everyday look was dominantly shown with colorfully vivid and bold, yet incredibly practical for everyday use. That translated as a mixing of cobalt blue denim with white ruffles top paired with black cardigan. For those who extremely dared to play with colors, Contempo also came with short strapless peplum dress in strong fuschia.

Although most of the collection was simple and easy to wear, the label which founded in 1986 also alternatively offers women who wanted to stand out in crowd. Some of them were a dazzling sheaf printed skirt, mini dress with ivory appliqué on top and black satin skirt which was youthfully elegant. The snake scale pattern printed in chiffon silk was a balance between a trendy look as well as simplicity. This time, Contempo also offered night gown beautified with seam accent and beads.

And for menswear, Contempo presented solid color on shirt as well as contrast accent on collar and cuff. A knitting v-neck top was also flexible for work or even for weekend excitement. To equalize the women gown, a slim silhouette suit was perfectly fit combination that was a must-have for urban men these days.
