“Urbanasia” at Grazia Glitz & Glam 2015

Grazia Indonesia presents Glitz & Glam in the series of Jakarta Fashion Week 2016. This year together with the 6th anniversary of Grazia Indonesia; six celebrity designers to showcase their collection of fashion line. Ivan Gunawan, Luna Maya, Dena Rahman, Rangga Moela, Tarra Budiman, and Tities Saputra titled theme of “Urbanasia”, inspired by the urban youth in cities of the Asian countries such as Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Jakarta.
 
Rangga Moela; member of pop group “SM*SH”, chose a Japanese inspired street wear for the label, “ED-JEH”. Featuring a sporty menswear with eccentric cuts, the one-year-old label of targets the young Japanese men. The collection titled “Jiyu”, which means free in Japanese; brings out the freedom in youth, and the use of neoprene and jersey material with black and white monochrome color just adds a click for it.

“Yeppeun” is the theme chosen by Tities Saputra for this year’s collection; which consist of feminine style clothings and a combination of bright colors. Tities chose Korea as an inspiration and translated them to gorgeous colors, thus the origin of the word “Yeppeun”. With cunning mix and matching tricks; Tities presented an exciting display. For example, the extracting denim compound, organdy, and silk satin, with embroidery sewing techniques and print fabrics.
 
Blending the coastal batik with the geometric style radiating the sweet and soft vibe is what divines Ivan Gunawan’s design. This well-known designer presents the brand JAJAKA; with a collection entitled with “Lembayoeng” inspired by the beauty of  Indonesian women, with a predominance range of orange and red.
 
Dena Rachman’s play was very surprising. The collection called “Shanghai Scandal” was a coalesce of oriental culture and the colonial influences. The collection will not showcase long dress, but instead mini dress combine with mandarin collar with a twist.
 
Next to Rangga was Tarra Budiman featuring the menswear with monochrome colors. “THE LMT” label inspired by the Japanese; maximizes laser cut techniques. For THE LMT, the idea taken from Japan is anything but common, truthfully the design were quite riveting. Young masculine man felt the tendency to relish the collection.
 
Luna Maya’s suave poured on the design of Luna Habit x Airwalk. This collection was inspired by the Japanese youth. Culottes, kimono tops, deputize the title “Midnight Bloom”; flowers blooming with shades of pastel. Luna solely select premium quality material.
