Contemporary Embroidery for Urban
Jakarta, 3rd November 2014. Three potentials designers participated on Dekrasnada show; they made embroidery to be more outstandingly simple and chic today at Jakarta Fashion Week 2015. Vielga Winelda (Designer of Roemah Kebaya), Riana Kesuma (Designer of Batik Riana Kesuma) and Novita Yunus (Designer and Owner of Batik Chic) are chosen to represented Dekranasda of Jakarta Province this year which themed as “Urban Art Contemporer”
Gold, black and white blazer or long coat made of jaguar polyester was one of eight concepts exposed by Vielga Wienida. She put some flourish embroidery on neck collar, shoulder, chest and sleeves. Simple cutting made an awesome yet simple combination on skirt or even pants in work or in party.
As main theme, Riana Kesuma took dynamic style with vivid color for her debut in Jakarta Fashion Week event. Pink bolero ¾ sleeves with embroidery on batik dress or cape with flourish batik from Jakarta highlighted by yellow list embroidery combined with matched yellow toned skirt. Her eight modern eye catching collections still had the Indonesian character on them.
With her collection themed as BC Toko Merah, Novita Yunus chose dark red and gold brown color for Jakarta Fashion Week this year. Batik Lasem with flower, bird patterned combined with snakeskin and neat’s leather. She put embroidery also to adorn this feminine cutting apparel. There were red blouse with gold embroidery, cheongsam dress with embroidery on the shoulder, and the match bag to completed the total look.
Veronika Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, chef of Dekrasnada of DKI Jakarta who attended the event, gave a bouquet to the three designers at Fashion stage of Atrium Senayan City.
