Dutch Tegel was the inspiration for Ready-to-Wear Apparel

Jakarta, 4th November 2014. Indonesia and the Netherlands have a really close relation in history. Thus, Erasmus Huis got inspired to make a fashion show titled “Revival of Netherland Tegel”. Located at the Fashion Tent of Jakarta Fashion Week 2015, last night, the show was going festive by Toton and Vinora’s collection. They revealed the tiles of Dutch called Tegel on their contour of ready to wear clothing.

This Dutch tiles, which has been used as an interior ornament, applied in a strong combination of motifs and colors. Through their collection, Toton and Vinora seemed reviving nostalgia tiles.

Vinora Ng, who was skyrocket by the event of Lomba Perancang mode 2009, consistently displayed boyish style. Last night Vinora featured tops, dress shirts, and suits semiformal in black, white, and brown. With zipper details and drapery cutting, Vinora succeed to showcasing tegel without eliminate the image of her label, DNA.

Meanwhile, Toton represented the tegel in combination of batik and tegel motif. Using the lace and tulle as his materials, Toton also added embroidery, sequins and hand-shaped balloons in his collection. Appeared in grayish collection, Toton didn’t want to eliminate the modern image which has been his distinctiveness in this collection.
