Elegancy Description In Three Nuances

Jakarta, 5th November 2015. Team up with 5 à Sec as the Official Laundry Partner of Jakarta Fashion Week 2015, three nuances style were interpreted on the fashion show of Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 on the fifth day. Themed as “L’Harmonie aux Details” there were three famous name who show off their creativity in this show. They were Major Minor, Barli Asmara and Imelda Kartini. Major Minor brought the chic ready-to-wear who carries the convenience as their priority, while Barli Asmara and Imelda Kartini brought their identity on their haute couture laden of elegancy. 

The parade series was opened by Major Minor creations that brought two themes Spring/Summer 2015 this time, the “Signature” and “Maha”. “Signature” emphasized on color clash combined with various geometric motifs. While the “Maha” brought a combination of Bima woven while the modern side presented by the motif of art deco architecture. They didn’t just experimenting with different colors, but also with the zigzags beads applied along the Bima woven so the various geometry pieces accentuated the eclectic design. 

Next sequence was Barli Asmara who brought the mysterious and beauty nuances. He showed it by the mask accessories made from pearl that confirmed the mysterious side of woman. This mystery thing might also inspire him to create the domination of black and white in his elegant gowns. Although, Barli admitted that black represented women’s strength, while the white became a symbol of natural flawless beauty. From the A-line feminine silhouette dress, kimono, to obi that wrapped up the waist confirmed the pretty silhouette. This fashion show themed “Noir et Blanc” was clearly inspired from the harmonization of the elements of the Japanese and Chinese peranakan.

Still focused on the richness of Chinese culture, Imelda Kartini described her interpretation in different ways. Like carving porcelain tub which portrayed China during centuries ago, the beauty was rendered in silhouette couture which dominated in blue and white. Not only the color combination, but also embroidery detail up to three dimensional laser cut enlivened this show which entitled “The Profusion of Detail”. Supported by the glamorous and material texture used, such as organza, shantung silk, lace and taffeta also, everybody who wore these volume silhouette yet elegant pieces will looks elegant like a princess.
