Feminine Details by Yenty Tan
Debuting her fashion career as a wedding gown designer for Tracy Bridal, this year Yenty Tan strengthened her existence by establishing her own label. Her collection was revealed on the fourth day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2015, Tuesday, 4 November 2014. Located in Fashion Tent Senayan City, Jakarta, Tan presented 24 designs with feminine details in a collection entitled “Sovereign Beauty”.
The show started with nine semi-evening gowns which were dominated by white and gray colors. White and gold accents were visible around the chest and neck areas. Next, the designer displayed twelve evening dresses, all of which were sleeveless long dresses in colors like black, brown, and gray. The second set of dresses also had some white and gold accents, but this time around the chest and shoulder areas. The show was closed with a set of wedding dresses, Tan’s area of expertise. Three white wedding dresses looked elegant in Victorian style.
Since the petite designer is really into Victorian era, it is not very surprising that her designs are mostly inspired by the era. “Many people say that Victorian era is monotonous. But for me, a lot of things from that era can be explored to inspire my designs,” Tan explained.
