Jakarta, 5th November 2015, the guest’s seat in Fashion Tent of Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 was so crowd. It wasn’t because the show of the famous designer, but just a show by fashion design student, Abineri Ang Atelier et Creature du Mode.
They indeed just students, but their interest to the high-standard of art work reflected until the third sequence in that afternoon. There were about five kinds of collections showcased by the students of that fashion school. The first show titled “Recto Verso”, presented a version of fashion presentation. The entire collection had two functions, so it will be able to avoid the boredom of the wearer, because the apparel could be “transfigured” and gave a different impression.
Indonesian history also got a part on this stage. There was collection inspired from the triumph of the kingdom of Majapahit. The designer of this collection, Christina Wu, believed that the Majaphit kingdom was the largest kingdom in Indonesia. As a kingdom who has the authority to the almost of the large island in Indonesia, it had also the relationship with another countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Christina saw the important things, carried Majapahit in its glory. One of them was the sublime palace culture that became his legacy. The symbol of its grandeur was contained in the print on the fabric which formed into a simple ready-to-wear clothing, such as shorts, blouse, up to mini dress.
The splendor fashion ambience was closed the show of Abieri Ang Atelier that afternoon. The rows of long dresses with ruffles details, embroidery, and beads harmonize nicely. The pastel colors such as turquoise, blue, green, and pink added sweet impression on the clothing. An impressing collection left a sense of awe to the audience when we realize that the designers still pursue their degree in a fashion school.
