Strengthening Fashion Industry with Fashionlink
Jakarta, 3 November 2014. A solid fashion ecosystem called Fashionlink was officially established on the third day of Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2015, 7 November 2014. Fashionlink is the new form of Buyers’ Room—an attempt by Femina Group, supported by the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia, to connect designers, retailers, and national and international consumers altogether.
The event occupied two areas in The Hall on Senayan City 8th floor. Fashionlink Showroom was directed for professional buyers at home and abroad, whereas Fashionlink Market was intended for the general public who wish to participate in the Indonesian fashion industry. Aside from exhibiting the works of Indonesian best designers who are members of the Indonesian Indonesian Fashion Forward, Fashionlink also displayed a number of labels from Japan, Korea, and Thailand. .
A trunk show initiated the presence of Fashionlink in JFW 2015. The show served as a preview for designers whose creations were showcased in the fashion ecosystem. For instance, among others, Peggy Hartanto, Sapto Djojokartiko, Patrick Owen, Restu Anggriani, Andhita Siswandi, Tertia, Moonstore, and Billy Tjong. All the designs come with ready-to-wear collections, ready to be displayed in Fashionlink and connect to the global fashion industry.
