The Variety of APPMI Designer’s Creation

In the second show of Asosiasi Perancang Pengusaha Mode Indonesia (APPMI), on the sixth day of Jakarta Fashion Week 2015, 6th November 2014, it was enlivened by four APPMI’s designers. They were Anastasia, Gregorius Vici, Veronika Vidyanita and Verena Mia.

Anastasia inspired form the Russian folklore “Vassillisa”, that was also became the theme that represented the beautiful mysterious Russian girl. The collection consisted by ready-to-wear apparel such as trouser, wide skirt, simple dress up to jacket. In nude and black, with a touch of highlight dusty pink and the embroidery detail.

APPMI member for central Java, Gregorius Vici, was still consistent with the motif clash peculiarity. This time, he presented the theme “FLOWER POWER”, floral, shocking pink, neon green clashed with stripes black and white motifs, etc. Neon color featured also on the shoes, make the whole look become playful, fun and wearable.

In his debut in Jakarta Fashion Week, Veronica Vidyanita brought “Kajoe Manis” as her theme which represented the I line silhouette dresses that inspired from the cinnamon-slim form. Tube dress, tube tops paired with maxi skirt, even see-through long dresses presented in gold touch to show the modern and glamorous impression.

Meanwhile, Verena Mia with her theme “Bloody Mary” designation to Queen Mary I, Henry Tudor VIII’s daughter, because her violence eradicated Heretic and Protestant, aimed to return England became a catholic country. The darkness in that century presented in blood red and blacks that dominated Verena’s collection, there were heavy ball gown with hugging bustier (the Tudor Dynasty gown’s lookalike) and also the mermaid gown or Y line silhouette.
