The Well-Established Works of Indonesia Fashion Forward Alumni

Jakarta, 2 November 2014. As the lead-ins of a four-sequenced show by Indonesia Fashion Forward designers, fbudi by Felicia Budi and Monstore by Peggy Hartanto presented ready-to-wear apparel with high selling power. This was a proof that the collaboration between Jakarta Fashion Week and the Centre for Fashion Enterprise has successfully matured the participating designers to embrace entrepreneurial spirit and produce highly creative works.
Monstore surprised the audience yesterday afternoon, 1 November 2014, at Fashion Tent Senayan City in Jakarta Fashion Week 2015. The label, well-known for their artistic street style with a “dark” touch, presented various cuts and motifs—from bikinis, parka jackets, to accessories like bags and cushions—which exuded a youthful vibe.
Differently, this time fbudi revealed an elegant minimalist collection in white, blue, and pastel colors. The addition of pleats and origami-resembling accordion accents became an awe-inspiring appeal for the audience.
Meanwhile, Hartanto’s work looked adorable in a variety of jumpsuits, cut-out dresses, and peplum skirts. The collection appeared harmonious in a soft to shocking color palettes.
