Three Designers, Three Character Modernity

Fashion Forward show Indonesia held on the third day of the first week in Jakarta Fashion Week 2016, three local designers portrayed a ready to wear collection with each character visible on the silhouette and cutting of the design. With a romantic oriental vibe, Jii by Gloria Agatha featuring colors of red, black, white, yellow, with large polka-dot prints, companied by playful Panda prints. The design is inspired by the bamboo country, giving the impression of an elegant yet cheerful. Various tops with wrinkled detailswith a peplum cut, high neck collar, fitted 7/8 trousers, flare skirts, topped up with a large ribbon to give out a dynamic image of the designer.

Playful mandarin theme songs that accompanied the course of the fashion show; Jii then slowly turned the tune into a more classic instrumental music. Designer “By Velvet” began to come forth themselves with a modern edgy look, “By Velvet” completed the collection of monochrome color, with a touch of leather, cut outs on the shoulder, outer side of the foot wear also showing the urban element of simplicity. They also include a collection with natural earthy brown color.

In addition of this sequence, designer SOE Jakarta appeared bolder on last night’s show using materials like jute sacks. What’s astounding in this collection is that you’ll see the bottom accent pleats, asymmetrically balanced shirt, also an interesting detail; square shape cut on the bottom of the design, giving the appearance more of a street look with a modern detail knot; typical to Korean and Japanese styles that promise you to become more effortlessly chic.
